A SNAPSHOT OF ADVENTIST HISTORY
"Jesus Christ formed His church to continue the work He Himself had begun. The church today is to witness to the word, truth, character and saving purposes of God-in-Christ.
Early on, the Christian church’s message became challenged by unbiblical concepts and compromising practices. However, from then even till now, there have been reform movements in every age calling people back to the integrity of God’s word. The reformation came into full bloom from the sixteenth through the eighteenth centuries. The nineteenth century gave rise to a continuing reformation. It called people’s attention to certain biblical principles that remain lost or forgotten, such as the culminating return of Christ to earth and the unrepealed commandments of God, including the seventh-day Sabbath.
Seventh-day Adventism arose in the mid-nineteenth century with deep roots in and commitment to the saving grace, life, death, resurrection and intercession of Jesus Christ. It is the response of grateful adoration that impels Adventists to proclaim a full-bodied message of life, health and hope.
Adventists invite everyone to investigate the gospel, which Jesus said is for the whole person."

A WINDOW ON WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO:
The living gift of Water from God provides:
~~ Water to quench our thirst
~~ Water to cleanse our bodies
~~ Water to sustain life in many ways
~~ And most importantly, spiritual Living Water of God's Word
"Every true disciple is born into the kingdom of God as a missionary. He who drinks of the living water becomes a fountain of life. The receiver becomes a giver. The grace of Christ in the soul is like a spring in the desert, welling up to refresh all, and making those who are ready to perish eager to drink of the water of life."

ADVENTIST COMMUNITY SERVICES:
Helping the Needy for More Than 100 Years!
With few exceptions, good things go on inside churches. The challenge is, most people who are not Christians don’t believe that—and sometimes with good reason! Churches and the people who run them have at times abused their power and left behind a trail of broken lives. Consequently, there’s often a gap between churches and those they wish to serve, a gap that must be intentionally bridged if it’s to be crossed at all.
To that end, we regularly hold what we call Bridge Events. The idea is simple: Make a bridge between church members and the community by holding special events that meet the community’s genuine needs. While Bridge Events can be of many types, some of our most successful have been those held on Saturday mornings during our regular worship time. Some examples of those have been presentations entitled:
- “How To Stay Married Forever—And Like It!”
- “Money, Sex, and Power”
- “Raising Great Kids (Without Blowing a Gasket!)
- And our most recent series, "A Rip in the Fabric of Time" (our world today in Bible prophecy).
These Saturday morning presentations are available by clicking HERE.
