SHANE ANDERSON (B.A., M.Div., D.Min.)
Senior Pastor

Shane Anderson came to us in 2004 from Washington state where he pastored in Everett, Lake Stevens and Tacoma over the previous 10 years. He graduated with a degree in Theology from Walla Walla College in Washington, a Masters of Divinity from Andrews University in Michigan, and a Doctorate of Ministry with a Concentration in Leadership (also from Andrews University).
Pastor Shane is thrilled to be married to his wife Darlene for the last 24 years and has been profoundly blessed by his two daughters, Sierra and Ellie. In his spare time, he may tinker with cars, go mountain biking, or read – but traveling with his family is his favorite pastime of all.
Pastor Shane wants to know Jesus better each day and live in the center of God’s will. He has a deep passion for the Adventist Church and its unique message and calling in these, the last days of earth’s history. It is his hope that he will see God’s work on earth finished during his lifetime, and he is committed to doing whatever God’s Spirit guides him to do to see that take place. For more of Pastor Shane’s thoughts on the church and life in Christ, check out his website, RemnantResources.net, and his YouTube channel for youth and young adults, Pastor Shane Explains.
BUZ MENHARDT (B.A., M.Div.)
Associate Pastor
From Pastor Buz:

“My wife Kelly and I seek to bring a special focus to our campus community, by mentoring young people in principles of service and Christian character development.
I have been an associate pastor at New Market since 2008 and enjoy working with my colleagues. We have a kindred spirit, which brings a unique balance of leadership and ministry to our campus. Some of my favorite ministry assignments include involving students in community outreach projects, neighborhood visitation, worship service participation and conducting summer day camps for children.
Kelly and I are blessed to live in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. We appreciate the small town atmosphere of New Market. We enjoy the accessible outdoor activities which include, hiking, biking, and snow sports.
We have been blessed to experience the dynamic growth within our church family. The wide range of activities, numerous small groups, the strong education programs at Shenandoah Valley Adventist Elementary School and Shenandoah Valley Academy, bring life to our church family. It is a privilege to be here and to serve.”
REED RICHARDI (B.A., M.Div.)
Associate Pastor

Pastor Reed is a valley native and has returned to New Market once again to follow God’s call and help others do the same. Pastor Reed joined our leadership team in January of 2013. He is Pastor for Evangelism and Outreach and leads out in small groups and house churches here in the valley. He is also the senior pastor of the Highland SDA Church in Highland county Virginia. His passion is to give the gift of ministry away, placing the blessing of ministry into as many hands as possible. Reed, his wife Jade, and their three children enjoy living in (and renovating) their home on the mountain, where they can hike, pick mushrooms, tap maple syrup, and enjoy the many other adventures that valley living provides.
Jaclyn Knight
Administrative Assistant

Jaclyn Knight returned to the valley in 2015 when her husband, Ryan, became the Head Boy’s Dean at Shenandoah Valley Academy. They continue to live here on campus with their two boys, Jackson & Jordan, who are students at Shenandoah Valley Adventist Elementary. A registered nurse by training, Jaclyn joined the church staff in 2022 as part-time Administrative Assistant while continuing to work as a home health nurse in the area.
Having grown up as a preacher’s kid, including some time here in the Potomac Conference, Jaclyn has personal experience with the life of a church and enjoys helping our church family be informed, connected, and served in the best way possible. She also serves our church through her interests in music and photography, often helping facilitate our worship service music through playing the organ, piano, or cello, and taking pictures at various events. Living on campus, she is passionate about boarding academy life and stays strongly involved with ministry at SVA.
Christine Reinoehl
Administrative Assistant

Christine Reinoehl joined our church family in May 2016. She moved here from Cleveland, TN with her husband Jon, son Ethan, two dogs, and two cats.
Christine has been blessed to be married to Jon for 23 years. Their son Ethan is a nursing major at Southern Adventist University. As a family, some of the activities they enjoy together are exploring the many hiking areas in the Shenandoah Valley, gardening, and playing many different board games.
Christine also works at our elementary school running the after-school care program. She is also involved with Reach Our Kids, a ministry for our teenage church family members. She enjoys making sure kids in our church have a safe, loving place to be. The Reinoehl family love living in New Market, and Christine hopes to never move again until she has her treehouse in heaven.
