SHANE ANDERSON (B.A., M.Div., D.Min.)
Shane Anderson came to us in 2004 from Washington state where he pastored in Everett, Lake Stevens and Tacoma over the previous 10 years. He graduated with a degree in Theology from Walla Walla College in Washington, a Masters of Divinity from Andrews University in Michigan, and a Doctorate of Ministry with a Concentration in Leadership (also from Andrews University).
Pastor Shane is thrilled to be married to his wife Darlene for the last 24 years and has been profoundly blessed by his two daughters, Sierra and Ellie. In his spare time, he may tinker with cars, go mountain biking, or read – but traveling with his family is his favorite pastime of all.
Pastor Shane wants to know Jesus better each day and live in the center of God’s will. He has a deep passion for the Adventist Church and its unique message and calling in these, the last days of earth’s history. It is his hope that he will see God’s work on earth finished during his lifetime, and he is committed to doing whatever God’s Spirit guides him to do to see that take place.
BUZ MENHARDT (B.A., M.Div.)
From Pastor Buz:
“My wife Kelly and I seek to bring a special focus to our campus community, by mentoring young people in principles of service and Christian character development.
I have been an associate pastor at New Market since 2008 and enjoy working with my colleagues. We have a kindred spirit, which brings a unique balance of leadership and ministry to our campus. Some of my favorite ministry assignments include involving students in community outreach projects, neighborhood visitation, worship service participation and conducting summer day camps for children.
Kelly and I are blessed to live in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. We appreciate the small town atmosphere of New Market. We enjoy the accessible outdoor activities which include, hiking, biking, and snow sports.
We have been blessed to experience the dynamic growth within our church family. The wide range of activities, numerous small groups, the strong education programs at Shenandoah Valley Adventist Elementary School and Shenandoah Valley Academy, bring life to our church family. It is a privilege to be here and to serve.”
REED RICHARDI (B.A., M.Div.)
Pastor Reed is a valley native and has returned to New Market once again to follow God’s call and help others do the same. Pastor Reed joined our leadership team in January of 2013. He is Pastor for Evangelism and Outreach and leads out in small groups and house churches here in the valley. He is also the senior pastor of the Highland SDA Church in Highland county Virginia. His passion is to give the gift of ministry away, placing the blessing of ministry into as many hands as possible. Reed, his wife Jade, and their three children enjoy living in (and renovating) their home on the mountain, where they can hike, pick mushrooms, tap maple syrup, and enjoy the many other adventures that valley living provides.
MAIDA COPP (B.S.)
Maida Delgado Copp is a graduate of Southern Adventist University with a B.S. in Business and Office Administration and has served as Administrative Assistant of the New Market Seventh-day Adventist church for over a decade. She strives to serve her church family and pastoral staff with excellence, kindness, compassion and understanding. Her greatest passion is to serve God and help lead others to know Him. She believes that, “The greatest want of the world is the want of men—men who will not be bought or sold, men who in their inmost souls are true and honest, men who do not fear to call sin by its right name, men whose conscience is as true to duty as the needle to the pole, men who will stand for the right though the heavens fall.” She strives to be that kind of person.
